The company Chapéu Patriarca emerged from an opportunity and investment in an abundant natural resource in the state of Ceará, carnaúba. Businessman and former bank employee Antônio Leopoldo Vasconcelos(in memoriam), born in Sobral-CE, who spent his childhood and adolescence in the district of Patriarca, saw an opportunity in carnauba straw. Since childhood, he saw the whole process of hat production. With an innovative vision, it began to look for more automated machines to industrialize the hat, without losing focus, the quality of the product. And with the experience and knowledge in production, the company has already received visits from national and international journalists to show how the transformation from straw to hat occurs.
